* The Bark Stops Here....
Lending a Yelping Hand.../Paw
Patriotic Pooch
Part of my regular duties involves bolstering the spirits of our enlisted men and women who come to the shop. My human and her customers knit helmet liners for them, and that is all well and good. But, it is no substitute for an encouraging lick or friendly wag-o-the-tail to let them know they are loved. Fortunately, I excel at these qualities.
Some folks haven't been feeling well this Spring, with all the allergies and surgeries and such. So, recently I have begun a special TLD (Tender Loving Dog) program. When someone drives up that I know, I now offer curb-side service and greet each person as they get out of the car. It seems to make them feel extra special.

(Of course, I still bark at the kids on skateboards. They really shouldn't be riding those dangerous things on the sidewalk. Do you know what one of those wheels will do to your paws?)

Anyway, the second part of my campaign is to work on the very quiet folks during Thursday evening get togethers. When they don't talk much, I go over and curl up next to them. Not only do I keep them extra warm, but when I fall asleep on my back, they can rub my belly and it gives them something to do when they don't feel like knitting.
Spring has Sprung
Seems only yesterday that my human pulled out my swanky sweater, and now it is time to pack it away gently and go commando. It's been a very strange Spring, one day hot, one day cold. Brrr. I much prefer the Summer. That reminds me, I have to check that the pool is ready to go swimming.
My Sunday-best sweater in Mountain Colors Wool and Silk Twizzle.
Look, I have my camo on too.
My TLD program is very successful.
Customers just lap it up.
Talk to the Paw
So, Bentley and his human came over last Therapy Thursday night. He thinks he is just 'all that', just because he is blonde and has a great haircut. You can tell him for me that just because my Human thinks he is adorable and he barks with real enthusiasm doesn't mean I am impressed. Maybe if he brought a bone or something....
Help me,....please.
Salon night gone terribly wrong... heh heh heh.
Bye Bye to Bentley
The other night we had a big bash to send Bentley and his human, Denise, off to their new home in Oklahoma. Lots of folks showed up and everyone brought food.... oh yeah.

Bentley says he is going to like his new home. He has already met his neighbors and said they are real salt-of-the-earth types, not at all stuck-up like Yorkies.... (wait, do you think he meant me?)

He'll probably get an Okey twang and listen to country western stations. He says we can keep in touch via his Twitter page. (He thinks he is so cool because he has a Twitter page. Yes, but he doesn't have his own blog!
4th of July Bash at My Crib
Dang, it was hot over the holidays. This year we decided to forego the parade and spend all day hanging out with friends at the pool. I didn't want to get my lovely hair wet, but as usual, Athena (aka. the big Lummux) kept doing cannonballs into the pool and splashing me. What a goofball!. I had to have a salon day just to wash all the chlorine out so that my hair so it didn't turn green.

My human made strawberry shortcake, which she didn't want me to have. Thank heavens, her friends are easily bribed.

Good friends, good food, good fun, even with stupid St. Bernards.
Way past my bedtime
Guess What?
I have a secret admirer.
